Cooper, Rochelle '84BC, '89TC

Rochelle Cooper is an executive coach who builds on leaders' strengths by ensuring they develop critical skills they need to meet requirements at each successive level. She has been coaching leaders and teams for over 20 years, has coached more than 1,200 senior leaders, and holds an excellent track record in empowering leaders to reach their goals by jumpstarting success in new roles, building leadership potential for advancement, or developing critical skills to master a current transition or role. Cooper assesses leadership potential and knows what matters. She enables her clients by advancing their skills in influence, inspiring others, navigation, executive presence, senior communication, change management, stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution.

Cooper has a Ph.D. on Organizational Psychology from Columbia and a BA from Barnard. She worked in the financial services industry for many years in talent management and organizational development at JPMorgan Chase and Merrill Lynch and is an associate professor at Hofstra University's Frank Zarb School of Business, where she teaches executive leadership skills in the executive MBA and traditional MBA programs.

She is the Coaching Practice Lead for Columbia Business School executive coaching programs and served as program manager for the Business School's Executive Education’s Women In Leadership program, At Barnard, Cooper is a member of the Leadership Council of The Athena Leadership Center, and chair of the Professional and Leadership Development Committee of the Alumnae Affairs Board.
